Dr. Nicola Partridge to Receive ASBMR 2018 Louis V. Avioli Founders Award
Dr. Nicola Partridge, professor in the Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology, has been selected to receive the prestigious Louis V. Avioli Founders Award presented by the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR), of which she is a member. Dr. Aviloli was ASBMR's first president, and one of the world's leading medical authorities on osteoporosis and calcium metabolism. Dr. Partridge, one of NYU's most distinguished scientists, is a national and international authority in the area of molecular endocrinology and an expert in bone and mineral research, including osteoporosis research. The award, which honors her for fundamental contributions to bone and mineral basic research, will be presented at the 2018 ASBMR annual meeting to be held September 28 – October 1, at the Palais des congrés de Montréal in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
