Dr. Gustav Durrer Dental Scholarship Established
A major gift from Dr. Gustav T. Durrer has established the Dr. Gustav Durrer Endowed Dental Scholarship Fund to be used to help academically outstanding students meet their $36,500 annual tuition expenses. Dr. Durrer is a Swiss-trained dentist who served on the College's prosthodontics faculty from 1987 to 1992Last year he returned to the faculty as a clinical professor of restorative and prosthodontic sciences. He and his wife Margot, a retired obstetrician, are close personal friends of Dr. Francis V. Panno, professor and head of the Division of Restorative and Prosthodontic Sciences, and Professor Joan Panno, clinical professor of CCAPA, who brought the need for increased student financial aid to the Durrers' attention.
