Dr. Leonard J. Seide, Class of 1951, on the electronic publication of his book Judah’s Story: The Life and Times of a Specialist During the Turbulent 20th Century – 1924-1999 at www.xlibsirs.com.
Dr. Stanley Warmflash, Class of 1951, on receiving an Award of Excellence from Healing the Children Northeast, Inc., for providing free reconstructive surgery for children with facial deformities.
Dr. Sheldon Winkler, Class of 1956, on serving as honorary chairman of the Fourth International Dental Implantology Congress in Bangkok, delivering the welcoming address, and lecturing on “Esthetics in Implant Overdenture Fabrication” and “Extraordinary Implant Failure.”
Dr. Richard R. Karlen, Class of 1957, on the publication of his most recent novel, Looking for Bernie, which explores the misadventures of an alcoholic dentist and the impact his alcoholism has on his family.

Dr. Isabel T. Whitehill-Grayson, Class of 1961, on her projected clinic, “Innovative Orthodontics for the General Practitioner,” presented at the 2000 Greater New York Dental Meeting.
Anthony G. Terra, Class of 1965, on receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the American Dental Association for Meritorious Service to the People of Guatamala. Every other year, Dr. Terra spends two weeks treating Mayan Indians and sharing information on orthodontics with Guatemalan dentists.
'70s
Dr. Cary H. Ganz, Class of 1970, on being featured in Healthy Living Digest as the creator of a “dental spa” featuring a line of “spa” comforts in his Garden City, Long Island dental practice.
Dr. Steven E. Schonfeld, Class of 1973, on being reappointed chairman of the Council on Education and Professional Relations of the California Dental Association (CDA) and elected as a member of the CDA Board of Trustees. Dr. Schonfeld was also appointed to represent the American Dental Association on the Professional and Technical Advisory Committee for Healthcare Networks of the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Dr. Alan A. Winter, Class of 1973, on the publication of his second novel, Snowflakes in the Sahara, a suspense-thriller about a mind-manipulator who teams up with an American business icon to take over the White House.

Dr. Donna J. Rumberger, Class of 1980, on her installation as president of the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Jerrold Schapiro, Class of 1983, on being elected president of The Oneida-Herkimer County Dental Society.

Dr. Kien Nguyen, Class of 1998, on the purchase of movie rights to his memoir, The Unwanted, which tells the harrowing story of his years growing up Amerasian in communist Vietnam.
