NYU Dentistry Joins Tribute to City's 9/11 Forensic Dentists

The second anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center was the occasion for a ceremony in NYU Dentistry’s Saklad Auditorium hosted by the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York to recognize 475 dentists who helped medical examiners identify more than 500 victims of the attack. The participating dentists were cited for their “outstanding service and extraordinary unselfish efforts as members of the Dental Identification Unit whose responsibility it was to identify the victims.”
