Full Mouth Reconstruction: A Periodontal and Prosthetic Approach to Comprehensive Patient Care is a 9-month, part-time course designed for US-licensed dentists who wish to expand their clinical skills to treat conventional and implant-supported full-mouth reconstruction cases. The unique course format incorporates periodontal treatment, highlighting the critical role of soft tissue management in achieving ideal patient outcomes.  It meets one day a week on Fridays for 33 sessions. The course also offers an observation option open to both US and internationally-trained dentists.

Are Patients Provided?

  • Yes. The NYUCD Linhart Continuing Dental Education Program will provide clinical patients.  Participants will both treat and/or observe a wide range of clinical procedures based upon clinical patient availability.

What Is The Length Of The Course?

The course is 9 months from September 2024 to June 2025 (33 sessions).

How Many Participants Are Enrolled?

Enrollment limited to 13 participants.

Additional spots are available for those who wish to enroll as an auditor.  Auditors participate in all lectures and hands-on activities and observe patient treatment.

What Are The Course Hours

Fridays

  • 8:30 am – 12:00 noon:  Clinic
  • 12:15 pm – 1:30 pm:  Study Session

Exception:

The first four sessions are orientation sessions scheduled on September 20 and 27 and October 4 and 11. 

What Are The Course Requirements?

Participants engaging in patient treatment (full participation option) must have a current license to practice dentistry in the United States.  This requirement is waived for auditors.

Current CPR certification. The department accepts CPR courses sponsored by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American Safety and Health Institute and the National Safety Council. Additionally, only ‘live’ courses are accepted toward fulfilling this requirement.

Compliance with medical requirements mandated by NYU policy and state and federal regulations including physical examinations and immunizations (including COVID).

Registration Fees


$15,995 Full Participation (engage in patient treatment)
In addition, a non-refundable $950 clinical registration fee is payable upon acceptance.

$9,900 Auditor (observe patient treatment)

A payment plan is available for both options.



Program Directors

Dr. Jason Kim completed his periodontal training and received a Master’s certificate from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dept. of Periodontics.  He is Clinical Associate Professor at NYU College of Dentistry, CDE Implantology Program having served as Section and Surgical Director.  He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of PG Periodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kim was also appointed to Dean’s Faculty at University of Maryland School of Dentistry.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology, an Honored Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and also a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.   He served on the Board of Trustees with the AAID, and was also Past President for the Northeast District of the AAID.  Dr. Kim is also on faculty for numerous AAID Maxicourses (New York, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Boston, Asia, UAE).  He is Co-Founder and Co-Director of Manhattan Dental Implant Seminars and is in private practice in Flushing, NY.  Dr. Kim lectures nationally and internationally in the field of dental implants, bone regeneration, biologics and guided surgery, among others. 

Dr. Zachary Papadakis received his doctorate degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1993. He immediately entered the postgraduate program in Prosthodontics and Occlusion and graduated as a Prosthodontist in 1995.  In 1999 he completed the 2-year CDE course at NYU for the surgical and prosthetic treatment of dental implants. Dr. Papadakis is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at New York University in the CDE Implantology Program where he is the Prosthetic Director.  He is also the Director of Dental Implants at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Papadakis lectures nationally on implant dentistry as well as removable and fixed prosthodontics. He holds a Fellowship in the ICOI as well as the AGD.  Dr. Papadakis maintains a private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
