Full Mouth Reconstruction: A Periodontal and Prosthetic Approach to Comprehensive Patient Treatment
Full Mouth Reconstruction: A Periodontal and Prosthetic Approach to Comprehensive Patient Care is a 9-month, part-time course designed for US-licensed dentists who wish to expand their clinical skills to treat conventional and implant-supported full-mouth reconstruction cases. The unique course format incorporates periodontal treatment, highlighting the critical role of soft tissue management in achieving ideal patient outcomes. It meets one day a week on Fridays for 33 sessions. The course also offers an observation option open to both US and internationally-trained dentists.

Program Objectives
Participants will have hands-on experience in patient treatment, improving their skills in the following areas:
Are Patients Provided?
- Yes. The NYU Dental Linhart Continuing Dental Education Program will provide clinical patients. Participants will both treat and/or observe a wide range of clinical procedures based upon clinical patient availability.
What Is The Length Of The Course?
The course is 9 months from September 2025 to June 2026 (33 sessions).
How Many Participants Are Enrolled?
Enrollment is limited to 13 participants.
Additional spots are available for those who wish to enroll as an observer. Observers participate in all lectures and hands-on activities and observe patient treatment.
What Are The Course Hours
Fridays
- 8:00 am - 8:30 am: Literature Review (Optional)
- 8:30 am – 12:00 noon: Clinic / Patient Treatment
- 12:15 pm – 1:30 pm: Study Session
Exception:
The first four sessions are orientation sessions scheduled on September 19 and 26 and October 3 and 10
What Are The Course Requirements?
Participants engaging in patient treatment (full participation option) must have a current license to practice dentistry in the United States. This requirement is waived for auditors.
Current CPR certification. The department accepts CPR courses sponsored by the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American Safety and Health Institute and the National Safety Council. Additionally, only ‘live’ courses are accepted toward fulfilling this requirement.
Compliance with medical requirements mandated by NYU policy and state and federal regulations including physical examinations and immunizations (including COVID).
Registration Fees
$15,995 Full Participation (engage in patient treatment)
In addition, a non-refundable $950 clinical registration fee is payable upon acceptance.
$9,900 Auditor (observe patient treatment)
A payment plan is available for both options.
