Advanced Clinical Fellowship Programs

At NYU Dentistry's Advanced Clinical Fellowship Programs, we believe in transformative learning experiences that combine comprehensive clinical, pre-clinical, and didactic training to enhance your expertise and broaden your horizons as a clinician. Under the guidance of our esteemed faculty members, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience working with real patients in our full-time fellowships.

These unique programs cater to both U.S. and foreign-trained dentists and are designed to provide valuable clinical, pre-clinical, hands-on, and didactic experiences in four dental specialties: Comprehensive DentistryAesthetic DentistryImplant Dentistry, and Oral Surgery.

Program Structure

These courses are divided into 90-day modules, which can span one or two years in length and include elective research experiences and presentation opportunities at professional society meetings. After successfully finishing the program, participants receive a signed certificate from the dean and the director of the specific program.

While this program does not grant licensure to practice in the US, it serves as a pivotal steppingstone for aspiring students seeking to pursue DDS, Advanced Standing, or Residency programs. Embark on a journey of professional growth and prepare yourself for a successful dental career with our unique and dynamic fellowship program.

Summer Practicum Program for International Dental Students

The Summer Practicum for International Dental Students at NYU College of Dentistry is an annual two week program designed for international dental students from universities outside the US who are interested in gaining a US dental education experience with exposure to New York City culture.

COVID-19 VACCINE-RELATED REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Vaccinations, Boosters, and Records Upload

All members of the NYU community — students, faculty, employees, vendors, affiliates, and campus visitors — are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, to upload proof of their vaccination to NYU's portal, and to have that vaccination documentation accepted by NYU.

NYU Dentistry also must abide by the New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations "Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission by Covered Entities" (10 NYCRR 2.61). Please note: As of January 13, 2023, the information regarding the applicability and scope of DOH regulations is subject to change, as the regulations are subject to ongoing litigation between the state of New York and a non-NYU party. NYU is monitoring the status of the regulations and this page will be updated prior to matriculation of currently admitted students.
