Advanced Clinical Fellowship Programs

The Advanced Clinical Fellowship Programs at NYU Dentistry are comprised of clinical and didactic programs for foreign trained dentists as well as a two-week summer program for dental students. These unique programs are designed to provide valuable clinical, pre-clinical, hands on and didactic experiences in dental specialties. The program boasts an alumni base of over 1,500 oral health professionals from 95 countries. To learn more, view our program brochure (PDF).

Advanced Clinical Fellowship Programs

Our unique, full-time clinical programs provide clinical experiences and didactic knowledge in various dental specialties, specifically designed for internationally-trained dentists. These non-credit, non-degree programs attract international dental professionals who plan to practice outside of the United States. Completion of any of these programs does not qualify participants for licensure in the US.

The programs offer a curriculum of didactic components and clinical experiences in the following disciplines: Comprehensive Dentistry, Esthetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, and Oral Surgery.

These courses are divided into 90-day programs, which can span one, two, or three years in length and include elective research experiences and presentation opportunities at professional society meetings.

Summer Practicum Program for International Dental Students

The Summer Practicum for International Dental Students at NYU College of Dentistry is an annual two week program designed for international dental students from universities outside the US who are interested in gaining a US dental education experience with exposure to New York City culture.

COVID-19 VACCINE-RELATED REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Vaccinations, Boosters, and Records Upload

All members of the NYU community — students, faculty, employees, vendors, affiliates, and campus visitors — are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, to upload proof of their vaccination to NYU's portal, and to have that vaccination documentation accepted by NYU.

NYU Dentistry also must abide by the New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations "Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission by Covered Entities" (10 NYCRR 2.61). Please note: As of January 13, 2023, the information regarding the applicability and scope of DOH regulations is subject to change, as the regulations are subject to ongoing litigation between the state of New York and a non-NYU party. NYU is monitoring the status of the regulations and this page will be updated prior to matriculation of currently admitted students.
