Admissions & Application Process

Eligibility

We pride ourselves on the strength of our diversity, and applicants who graduate from a U.S. or Canadian dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association are encouraged to apply. General practice or other advanced training residency and experience in research are highly recommended.

All applicants to the NYU Dentistry Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics must pass the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE) Parts I and Part II. Candidates can apply after passing the NBDE Part I, but will not be allowed to be enrolled in the program until proof of passage of the NBDE Part II is received by the program.

Applicants must apply through the Postdoctoral Application Support System (PASS). To apply please visit the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and follow all PASS application deadlines and guidelines.

Additionally, applicants must also apply to the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (MATCH).
