RESEARCH INTERESTS / PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
Before entering NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Silver served in the US Navy as a corpsman (Medic) four years. One of the four years he served as a corpsman for the surgical reseach group assigned to MAG 16, the 3rd Marine division Danang Vietman. Dr Silver graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1973. After graduation he served in the US Navy for three years at Besthesda Naval Hospital and the Brooklyn Naval Yard Regional Dental Clinic and three years in the Navy Reserves. He was retired from the Navy on a medical disability resulting from action in Vietnam in 1967-1968.
