Equipment Listing: Histology and Correlative Microscopy Core (HCMC) (iLabs)
Zeiss EVO 50 SEM + Correlative Microscopy, Smartstich, and MeX Alicona 3D profilometry
This microscope combines both traditional high vacuum SE and BSE imaging with extended low vacuum capability (i.e. beyond the trip point of water), cold stage, and PGT-Bruker PRISM X-ray energy-dispersive spectroscopy. The microscope is fully digital, is addressable by computer in all 5 stage axes, and performs automated image montaging over extensive XYZ coordinates (SmartStich). Hardware/software is included for performing correlative microscopy together with other light optics microscopes (Shuttle & Find). ISO rated 3D metrology is also featured on this microscope using MeX software.

Scanco 40 microCT
The equipment uses Xray as a source to create individual projection of high resolution single slices. Microcomputed tomography (microCT) create cross-sections of a 3D-object that later can be used to recreate a virtual model without destroying original model. 45-70 Kv, resolution of 8 to 36 micron (sample holder size 12.5mm to 36.9mm)

Leica DMRXE Universal Microscope +
Objective Imaging gigapixel montaging workstation
This research-grade digitally controlled microscope combines conventional illumination with various forms of contrast (linear and circular polarizing, phase) and X-Cite fluorescence imaging. A high-resolution automated Martzhauser stage and a QImaging.
Camera are fitted to this microscope for automated gigapixel image acquisition and image reconstruction using Objective Imaging software.

Leica DM5000 B + Leica Quantimet v.3
image processing workstation
This digitally controlled compound microscope has manual staging and combines conventional illumination with various forms of contrast (linear polarizing, DIC) and fluorescence imaging. Images are acquired using a Leica DFC290 color camera and Leica v3 Quantimet software.

Zeiss Axiolmager M1m+ PhaseView profilometry
A ZeeScan PhaseView 3D Digital Imaging Profilometer mounted to the Zeiss Axio Imager provides nanometer to micrometer topographic relief and surface reconstruction, including sub-micron to micron-scale quantitative profile and surface roughness measurements.

Technical Instrument K2-S BIO
Confocal Microscope
A Technical Instrument K2-S BIO Confocal Microscope (Nipkow disc type) permits the imaging of sub-micron thick optical sections deep to intact opaque samples in both reflected light and fluorescence. Images are acquired using a QImaging color camera and software. Automated Z through series imaging is possible using a z-stepper and Syncroscopy Automontage software, providing all-in-focus images and 3D visualization.

Edge R400 Realtime
3D Microscope + Syncroscopy
Z-stacking 3D workstation
This microscope provides high resolution (i.e. higher than conventional light microscopy) three-dimensional imaging of microscopic details within histological sections observed in transmitted light. Images are acquired using a QImaging color camera and software. Automated Z through series imaging is possible using a z-stepper and Syncroscopy Automontage software, providing all-in-focus images and 3D visualization. 0.1 µm z-staging allows the calculation of section thickness.

Edge H160 Realtime 3D microscope + PhaseView profilometry and Syncroscopy
Z-stacking 3D workstation
This microscope also allows real-time three-dimensional imaging of microscopic structures, but does so in reflected light (both white light and in fluorescence). A MicroPhase PhaseView 3D Digital Imaging Profilometer mounted to the microscope provides nanometer to micrometer topographic relief and surface reconstruction, including sub-micron to micron-scale quantitative profile and surface roughness measurements.

Mitutoyo custom
non-contact 3D measurement system
This unique high-resolution non-contact digitizer has two-micron accuracy in each of X- and Y-axes and five-micron accuracy (or better) in the Z-axis. Digital readout is transferred to 3-D analytical measurement software for high-resolution measurements within a 10cm cubic volume.

K2-S BIO Portable
Confocal Microscope
A Technical Instrument K2-S BIO Confocal Microscope (Nipkow disc type) permits the imaging of sub-micron thick optical sections deep to intact opaque samples in both reflected light and fluorescence. Images are acquired using a QImaging color camera and software. Automated Z through series imaging is possible using a z-stepper and Syncroscopy Automontage software, providing all-in-focus images and 3D visualization. This lightweight and compact Portable Confocal Scanning Optical Microscope (NYU patent) is available for projects anywhere in the world.

EDGE 3D Direct View 3D Microscope
This microscope is a fully digital version of the real-time Edge R400 technology, providing high resolution (i.e. higher than conventional light microscopy) three-dimensional imaging of microscopic details within histological sections observed in transmitted light; however, it is able to reconstruct incident light 3D images. Images are acquired using a Samsung 20.3M APS-C CMOS sensor and Edge and software. Automated Z through series imaging provides all-in-focus images and 3D visualization.
