Faculty Mentor: Dr. Yu Zhang, Dept. of Biomaterials, NYU Dentistry

Paola Cerrito
PhD Student
Research project: Paola's research focuses on gaining a better understanding of the hard tissue correlates of the physiological changes occurring during the course of the individual’s life. I aim to find both histological and chemical signatures of life history milestones with the aim of applying these methods to the hominin fossil record and improving our knowledge regarding the evolution of human life history.
Faculty Mentor: Dr. Tim Bromage, Dept. of Biomaterials; and Dr. Shara Bailey, Dept. of Anthropology, NYU
