Student Research Groups
Join SRG and discover all the research opportunities that NYU Dentistry has to offer!
The Student Research Group (SRG) of NYU Dentistry is a local chapter of the National Student Research Group (NSRG). NSRG is an affiliate of the American Association of Dental Research (AADR).
The purpose of SRG is to promote student interest and participation in research while in dental school. We aim to aid NYU Dentistry in advancing research opportunities and research education for both students and faculty.
SRG hosts monthly Journal Club meetings where students come together and discuss a novel research article and reflect on its relevance to dentistry. The Journal Club is a fun way to keep engaged in the dental research community. Additionally, SRG hosts a yearly Symposium on important topics in research and dentistry. This year we are proud to announce the Regenerative Medicine in Dentistry Symposium! SRG also participates in community service and host social events aimed to connect interested students with faculty and student mentors.
SRG is a community of curious and engaged dental students who are have a passion for research. Our club can offer you guidance in your research career at NYU Dentistry. We provide our members with updates on national conference, honors in research opportunities, fellowships and research awards (such as the SRG Award for Best Research Poster).
Join our club! Join the conversation at our monthly Journal Club meetings. Join a committee! You could be the future of SRG!
