A Vibrant Academic Community in the City that Never Sleeps
Student Life
At NYU, I immediately recognized that its diversity was its strength. ... Regardless of your background, where you're from — at NYU, you are accepted and you belong.
Marcus Johnson, DDS '08, shares his thoughts on the welcoming and inclusive community he experienced as an NYU Dentistry student and how that has shaped him as a leader.
Located along the NYU Health Sciences Corridor on First Avenue in Manhattan, NYU College of Dentistry draws its spirit from a global city with a diversity of human life, an entrepreneurial bent, and resources that include some of the world's most valued professional opportunities. NYU Dentistry students and faculty alike benefit from a multitude of opportunities for involvement both inside and outside the classroom.
The Office of Student Engagement serves to educate, engage, and empower each student at New York University College of Dentistry to realize their full academic and professional potential. By collaborating with students, faculty, and staff, the Office strives to create a welcoming environment that is inclusive and that embraces student diversity in all areas of the student journey.
As a part of the greater NYU community, the Office of Student Engagement acts as a liaison to University-wide student support services, including:
- Student Health Center
- Wellness Exchange
- Center for Spiritual Life
- Office of LGBT Student Services
- Center for Multicultural Education and Programs
- Student Resource Center
