Although this information may be the most useful for graduating students; all students enrolled at NYU College of Dentistry are encouraged to review these resources at their earliest convenience.
Transitioning to Loan Repayment
The first step to transitioning into loan repayment is knowing how much federal loan borrowing you have utilized and who your loan servicer is. The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is one of the best to utilize for this purpose. It should be noted that any loans borrowed with a private lender will not be listed on this resource.Additionally HPSL and LDS loans will not be listed on NSLDS.

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's (ED's) central database for student aid. NSLDS Student Access provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and grants so that recipients of Title IV Aid can access and inquire about their Title IV loans and/or grant data. Federal Loan Simulator
The Federal Loan Simulator helps students calculate student loan payments and choose a loan repayment option that best meets their needs and goals. Students can also use it to decide if they will consider consolidating their student loans. Access the federal loan simulator at Student Aid.

NHSC Loan Repayment Program
Licensed primary care clinicians in eligible disciplines can receive loan repayment assistance through the NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP). In exchange for loan repayment, you must serve at least two years of service at an NHSC-approved site in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

ADEA Financial Aid Resources
The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is The Voice of Dental Education. ADEA’s mission is to lead institutions and individuals in the dental education community to address contemporary issues influencing education, research and the delivery of oral health care for the overall health and safety of the public.
Students will be able to access a great deal of information provided by ADEA. This information includes insight about financing a dental education, in depth loan repayment strategies, state and federal loan forgiveness programs.
