Liliana Ortiz Camacho, DDS

Liliana Ortiz Camacho, DDS, received her DDS degree from Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She continued her education in United States, where she completed a 2 years International Program in Prosthodontics and another 3-years post graduate training in Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Ortiz is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Dentistry where she is the Co-Director of Removable Prosthodontics Clinic for 3rd & 4th year dental students.

Dr. Ortiz was honored by the Department of Prosthodontics of NYU with the Harold Litvak Award and Adisman Boot Award, given to a postgraduate resident who has shown an outstanding academic and clinical performance.

Dr. Ortiz provides care with expertise in complex cases and full-mouth rehabilitation, including implants, crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays, removable partial dentures, complete dentures and overdentures.

Dr. Mijin Choi, DDS, MS, FACP

Mijin Choi, DDS, MS, FACP is a Board Certified Prosthodontist/Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. Dr. Choi received her DDS degree from Columbia University, School of Dentistry and Oral Surgery. She continued her studies at University of Maryland, where she completed her prosthodontic training, and obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Additionally, Dr. Choi obtained the Maxillofacial Prosthetic Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Choi is presently at New York University College of Dentistry, directing the Advanced Prosthodontics Education. Dr. Choi provides care with expertise and clinical skill in implant restorations, fixed & removable prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthetics, cosmetics dentistry as well as the management of medically compromised patients.

Dr. Alper Comut

Dr. Alper Çomut is a prosthodontist specialized in esthetic dentistry, fixed and removable prostheses, and implant dentistry. He holds a D.M.D. degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, a D.M.Sc. degree -Doctor of Medical Science - in Oral Biology from Harvard University and a Certificate in Prosthodontics from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. Presently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry.

Dr. Çomut received the Steve Gordon Memorial Award from the American College of Prosthodontists and the Best Presenter Award from the European Association for Osseointegration. He has been serving on the Board of Directors of the American College of Prosthodontists, New York Section for the last seven years. Currently, he is the President of the organization. Dr. Çomut is also an active fellow of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics for the last fifteen years. He lectures nationally and internationally and has numerous publications on prosthetic, esthetic, and implant dentistry.

Dr. Çomut speaks English, Turkish, French and Italian.

Dr. Pakhshan Ghaderi

Dr. Pakhshan Ghaderi obtained her DDS Degree from Shaheed Beheshti University (IRAN). She later completed her Prosthodontic specialty with a Master of Science Degree, followed by a two-year Dental implant Fellowship in 2009.

She has extensive experience as a clinician and has held several academic positions, including the most recent as faculty at Columbia University College of Dentistry. Currently, Dr. Ghaderi is a full-time Assistant Professor at the NYU College of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics. 

Dr. Ghaderi is the recipient of the New York State Dental Foundation “Dean Award” for her outstanding academic performance.

Her area of work includes but is not limited to complex full mouth reconstruction for medically compromised patients.

Dr. Leila Jahangiri

Leila Jahangiri, DMD is Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry. She received her DMD degree, a Certificate in Prosthodontics, and a Master's degree in Oral Biology from Harvard University. She previously was Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Dental School, and Codirector of Prosthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The recipient of the Arthur R. Frechette Award in Prosthodontics from the International Association of Dental Research, Dr. Jahangiri is an authority in prosthodontics, implants, and esthetic dentistry.

Marianna Rokkas, DDS

Dr. Marjan Moghadam

Marjan Moghadam, DDS, is a graduate of New York University, College of Dentistry. She completed a General Practice Residency at the Long Island College Hospital. She also received a Masters degree in psychology from the NYU Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. She completed her specialty training at NYU in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthondontics and has since joined the faculty of the NYU College of Dentistry as a full-time assistant clinical professor and co-director of Fixed Prosthodontics Clinic for 3rd and 4th year dental students.

Dr. Francis Tung

Francis Tung, DMD, is a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, class of 1986, where he received his DMD and MPH degrees. After four years in private practice in Boston, Dr. Tung returned to Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he received his prosthodontics certificate in 1992. In January of 1993, he relocated to the New York City area and began teaching at New York University College of Dentistry where he is currently a tenured associate professor. He served as associate director for the Post Graduate Prosthodontic Program at NYUCD until December, 2003. Dr. Tung is a member of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, the American Prosthodontics Society, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, IADR/AADR, and the American College of Prosthodontists.
