Patient Portal: Information and Self-Registration Instructions

We are excited to invite you to register for the NYU Dentistry patient portal. Once registered, you will be able to verify personal information, view and confirm appointments, enter and update patient forms and send secure email to your provider.

If I choose not to register for the portal, why do I have to sign an "Opt Out" consent?
Our mission is to offer this free service to every patient and the consent form is documentation for us to ensure that the patient was given the opportunity to register.

What if I forget my username and/or password?
If you have an email on file, you can contact your Treatment Center or the NYU Dentistry Call Center for assistance with resetting your login information offsite. If you do not have an email on file, you will need to come to the College to reset your account information.

Is the Patient Portal available in any language other than English?
Currently, it is only available in English. Translation services, however, are available upon request.

Is there an app for the Portal?
Right now there is no app for the NYU Dentistry Patient Portal, but there may be one in the future.

Patient Portal: Features and Benefits

  • View, Download, or Print a summary of your treatment – share with your other doctors.
  • Confirm your appointment online and view the details of your upcoming appointments.
  • Update your demographic information online (address, email, insurance, etc.).

How to Register for the Patient Portal

  • Ensure your email address is in your patient record. This will allow you to Self-Register for the portal from home;


  • Visit the Patient Service Representative (PSR) in your Treatment Center to set up your username and password.
  • Once you have your Username and temporary password, go to:
    • Set a permanent password
    • Set up your 3 security questions
    • Click "Update" to complete the registration.

Open the email from NYU Dentistry.

Step Two


Click on the link.

This will direct you to the Patient Access Portal home page.

Log in using your username and temporary password, or click on "Register for Access."

Enter your first name.

Enter email address registered with NYU, then click on "Send Email."

  • You will receive an email shortly prompting you to create an account.

When you receive an email, click on "Create Account."

Please read terms and conditions, check the box if you agree, then click on "I accept."

Make a note of your user name (found at the top of the page below your full name)

Create a password

  • Enter temporary password again (if prompted)
    • Your new password should have 8 characters and is case sensitive.
  • Select 3 security questions and answers
  • Click Update. See message-confirming update.

Click on the "Home" button to go back to the main menu.

From the "Personal Information" tab, view your ambulatory summary after each appointment.

  • Click on Personal Information, select Ambulatory Summary of Care.
  • Update any inaccurate information with your provider
