What is Stu-Dent?
The Stu-Dent plan offered by New York University College of Dentistry provides quality, hassle-free dental services to restore and maintain your teeth and gums – at a time in your life when it is critical to do so. We provide treatment at convenient times and in a convenient location, making it easy and economical to fit dental care into your busy schedule.
Please note: All Stu-Dent services are provided only at NYU College of Dentistry-based locations.
Stu-Dent Plan for NYU Students
Please note: Stu-Dent services for NYU students are provided at NYU Dental Faculty Practice at 726 Broadway, Suite 350.
Diagnostic care
- Semiannual oral examinations
- X-rays needed to support Stu-Dent services
Restorative treatment
- Routine restorations (fillings)
Preventive care
- Semiannual prophylaxis (cleanings)
- Sealants
- Oral hygiene instruction
Discounted fees
- 20% off most dental services not included in the plan
- 10% off orthodontic treatment
Because NYU is a teaching institution, some services may take longer to complete than they would in a private dental office. However, our fees are significantly lower than those charged by most private dentists.
Stu-Dent membership is open to full and part-time NYU students as well as their partners and dependent children.
Memberships follow the academic year; for academic year 2023-24, membership is effective September 4, 2023 — August 16, 2024. For academic year 2024-25, membership is effective September 3, 2024 — August 15, 2025.
Eligible graduate employees covered under the UAW Local 2110/NYU collective bargaining agreement will be automatically enrolled in the Stu-Dent Plan for NYU students at no cost for the duration of each academic year in which they are covered under the UAW Local 2110/NYU collective bargaining agreement. Simply call (212) 443-1313 and make an appointment! Eligibility will be confirmed at the time the appointment is made.

Also, you can renew/enroll directly for the 2024-25 academic year between June 24 and September 30, 2024 by selecting the Stu-Dent Plan on the NYU Student Health Insurance online Selection/Waiver form at the NYU Insurance and Patient Account page.
If you enrolled through your bursar account, corrections for StuDent Dental Plan can be made ONLY during the designated enrollment period between June 24 and September 30, 2024. NO FURTHER CORRECTIONS CAN BE MADE AFTER THE ENROLLMENT DEADLINE unless there are qualifying circumstances.

Procedures not covered under the Stu-Dent Plan
- For services not included in the plan, a 20% reduction from our normal fees will be provided to Stu-Dent Plan members.
Because NYU is a teaching institution, some services may take longer to complete than they would in a private dental office. However, appointments can easily be made and we make every effort to accommodate busy schedules.
Stu-Dent membership is open to all students enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited College or University within the United States (current School ID is required at the time of initial appointment).
Enrollment is on a rolling basis. Membership takes effect on the date of enrollment and terminates one year after the effective date.
